Over 11 years ago, I was trying to figure out what was next for me. My second marriage had just ended and I felt ashamed and frustrated with my life.
My children were becoming more self-sufficient, but my mother, who had always been a big influence in my life, needed more of my help.
I struggled with the physical changes in my body: the mental and emotional fatigue and my relationship with food. Welcome to perimenopause!
Counting calories no longer worked for me as my body stored fat differently. So I went to my tried and true method of fat-burning...cardio. Except that didn’t work either. I realized that I needed to make a change on a deeper level. I needed to think outside the box and try something new.
It was around this time I opened a Pure Barre studio. I loved the feeling of empowering women to be their best selves. I was giving them the tools to take control of their own lives. It gave my life meaning.
After my mother passed away and I became the caregiver of my step-father who suffered from Lewy Body dementia, I sold my Pure Barre studio and created the Well and Worthy Life blog to share my experience and help others.
I became an IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition) certified Health Coach and have worked with hundreds of clients over the last 3 years. From that experience, I have found that the number one thing we all desire in life is Balance.
But what does balance mean?
It means spending less time in the gym and more time with family, spending less time making meals and more time enjoying them and spending less time worrying about our bodies and more time celebrating them.

I'm so glad many women ask this because Balance is so unique!
I created Balance for a women in pre & post menopause. Women who see wellness in a new light. It's not only about how you look, it's about how you feel. This program addresses many different facets.
Balance is like no other program. It incorporates all the dynamics in wellness - nourishment for your body (and soul), exercise/movement to combat aging, positive mindset, stress management, meditation and so much more.
Great news! No you don’t have to have Facebook to be part of the Balance community. No, this program is about food appreciation not deprivation. I'll teach you how to eat intuitively for overall healthier nourishment. I'll show you my 90/10 method where you'll learn to choose higher calorie foods in moderation. I do not believe in cutting out the foods you love completely.
The answer to this is both Yes and No. Sound confusing? Let me explain... I believe one ‘method’ does not fit all. You are most likely to be successful when you can be consistent at something. That is the whole philosophy behind Balance!
Does tracking macros and logging food help some people stay on track? Absolutely, but for other people it’s very restrictive and sets them up for failure. That’s why in Balance I will show you different methods you can use to eat healthy in a balanced way -eat more intuitively.
Do you still want to track macros? I’ve got you covered too. In the Balance App there is a place to log your food. During our 8 weeks together we are going to uncover what works for YOU.
I don’t provide a specific meal plan for this reason: what’s simple for one person may be complicated for another. Instead, I show you how to choose the right foods, in the right balance so you can cook (or not) to your tastes and create meals YOU love!
