She is a FASTer Way to Fat Loss Coach, nutritionist, and registered dietitian.
Today she and Deanna will discuss the importance of skin care at any age and how what we eat can affect our skin’s health. You are what you eat, but this statement is often associated solely with our internal health. Luisa explains that it applies to our skin as well and tells us the top three nutrients that are the best for keeping our skin looking great as we age. Deanna then reveals one of her favorite products that she uses daily and stresses the importance of clean ingredients.
With certain diets that people go on, they sometimes eliminate important micro and macronutrients. Luisa brings up the dangers of not eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. She says that it’s important to “eat the rainbow” before getting into some misconceptions about eating healthy fats.
64% of our skin is water, which goes to show why hydration is the most crucial factor in maintaining healthy skin. Being properly hydrated can come from simply making sure to drink enough water each day, so Luisa shares a tip on how to make sure that you’re meeting the threshold.
Eating for healthy skin doesn’t have to be hard; it’s about taking small steps and making progress instead of perfection. We all want to look and feel our best. If we eat the right nutrients and put the right things on our skin, we’ll look and feel so much better.
