I believe there are some items you should spend a little more on because they are worth the investment. They are timeless, and you will be glad you spent more on these items because they will last forever.
The Little Black Dress – I am wearing a Zac Posen little black dress. However, it cost me more than a little! However, it fits like a glove and I know I will have this piece forever. I really wrestled with the fact of spending that much for one dress but I know it is timeless and you just can’t go wrong with a black dress. I bought it at Gus Mayer in Nashville when Zac Posen was featured in the Nashville Symphony Fashion Show. I also got to meet Zac. That was a really special treat. If you are in Nashville I would encourage you to attend the Nashville Symphony Fashion Show next year featuring Jason Wu. I love these LBD too.
A Great Handbag – This handbag I am carrying is Alexander McQueen box bag 16 in oxblood. It can be found at Gus Mayer. I love the shape of this bag. If you are looking for a bag to carry every day here are a couple of my favorites.
Classic Pumps – I am wearing a pair of Stuart Weitzman NuNakedStraight Sandal. I like the heel height of these and they go with everything. I will probably be buying them soon in the nude color. Gus Mayer has a large selection of Stuart Weitzman. Here are some of my other favorite classic pumps.
Perfect Coat – I am wearing a beautiful black mink coat from Gus Mayer. In Alabama, it doesn’t get that cold most of the time but when it does or when I travel, I love to wear this coat. The basic trench coat is a great investment as well. Here are some of my favorites.
A Special Piece of Jewelry – My husband bought this beautiful bracelet for me last year from Regina’s in Gus Mayer. It is such a classic piece with a lot of style to it. I am also wearing a special piece of jewelry that my step-father gave me for my birthday. It was his grandmother’s ring. It means the world to me. A watch would be another great piece of jewelry to invest. My favorite brand is Rolex. It holds its value better than most.
