A few weeks ago I shared about My Aging Smile. I wanted to give you a quick update on how I am aging gracefully with a smile.
One of the first things that Dr. Koch fixed was a couple of my teeth. I was concerned about gum recession and one tooth was really bothering me. He placed a tooth-colored filling on 2 teeth near the gumline. This actually helped with the sensitivity that I was having as well.
Also, after looking at my bottom teeth there was some excessive wear on one so Dr. Koch put some tooth colored filling there.
Teeth Whitening – Aging Gracefully
From here we started the teeth whitening phase. To be honest with you, I was a little concerned about how this was going to go because I had tried teeth whitening before and I could not seem to get my teeth as white as I wanted them. My teeth get very sensitive when I tried it before.
The teeth whitening is called KöR Whitening. I left with instructions to use the trays for 2 weeks and then we would check the color. I wasn’t completely compliant with the 2 weeks. The first week I used the trays for 5 days. My teeth were a little sore feeling but not bad at all.
My husband and I went on a trip so I took a break from my teeth whitening and then used the trays for 5 more days when I got back in town. The soreness in my teeth had gone away and I didn’t have any soreness when I did it the last 5 days.
I am so happy with my results! My husband has even remarked how white my teeth look. Dr. Koch recommends that I use my trays once a month to keep them white and my smile as pretty as ever.
The first thing people usually notice is your teeth. As we get older there is more wear and tear and they do darken but there is something you can do it about it. I could not be happier with my results!
