Self-confidence comes from within. Did you see the movie “I Feel Pretty”? It is a perfect example of how self-confidence can change your life. If you haven’t seen the movie I don’t want to spoil it for you but trust me; go see the movie.
If self-confidence can change your life, how do you get it? I believe it happens one day at a time. To me having self-confidence means knowing who you are and liking yourself. As women, we can be so hard on ourselves with negative talk or comparing ourselves to someone else.
I wrote a post recently on finding your tribe and you will find your vibe. It means that if you find the people who you click with then they will help you find your self. The person who you are meant to be. We should surround ourselves with like-minded positive people. When we do this we become more confident in who we are.
If we know who we are then naturally we have more self-confidence and feel better about ourselves. If we feel better about ourselves we will present ourselves better to other people and attract more of our tribe. It is a domino effect.
However, if we aren’t careful it can go the other direction. Especially if we surround ourselves with negative people. Are there people in your life that bring you down? Do they suck the energy out of the room the minute they walk into it?
A few years ago, I had a friend who I had to quit being friends with because she was so negative. Every time I was around her, I left feeling bad about myself. I finally had to tell her we could not be friends anymore. It was very difficult and emotional for both of us but I had to do it for myself.
Sometimes you don’t have to actually come out and tell them you can’t be friends. I have had other times where I have just let the friendship die its natural death. It really depends on the situation.
As women lets help each other and build each other up. Empower each other to be the best that we can be and lead the best lives we can live.
So go find your tribe so you can find your vibe! Here are a few of my tribe members.
