A couple of weeks ago, I had House Peace come to my house to organize my kitchen. When we remodeled a couple of years ago (you can read about it here), I was so excited to have my kitchen back that I just threw everything in and didn’t organize it very well.
Tara, the owner of House Peace and I connected through a friend. My friend had Tara out to do an initial assessment at her house. This is a great place to start.
However, once I talked to Tara I knew I wanted my kitchen reorganized right away. We decided on a date and time, I sent her some pictures of my drawers and cabinets and she and a small army landed at my house.
I will be honest it was a little embarrassing at first. Watching them go through my drawers, cabinets, and pantry and asking if I needed or wanted some items. I was thinking maybe I should have cleaned things out before they got here. Not really, but it did go through my mind.
The funniest thing is when they cleaned out my pantry and I had enough chili beans to feed the neighborhood. I still can’t figure out where they all came from. I mean, I do like chili but I had 7 cans of chili beans all of the same kind!
Tara and her partners are some of the nicest women. I enjoyed hanging out with them while they organized it all. But it is really more than organizing, “HOUSE PEACE helps you utilize your home base to work for you, not against you. Creating flow systems, developing habits, and giving you the tools you need to facilitate order, HOUSE PEACE brings more than just order to a kitchen junk drawer. They empower you to give your home and family a less stressful lifestyle, so you can stop worrying about your home and focus on the things that matter.”
I love what they did so much that I want more peace in my house! Tara is coming back to do an initial assessment for me.
When everything has a place it alleviates stress. Reducing stress in your life is a form of self-care. To me, self-care is one of the most important things we can do for our health which will, in turn, benefit our family.
