I may be a little late to the party but it is better late than never! Today I am sharing all of my favorites at Trader Joe’s.
Flowers At Trader Joe’s
When you walk in the door you immediately see all of the beautiful flowers and who doesn’t love flowers! The flowers are Trader Joe’s are not only beautiful, they actually last more than a few days. Even better the price is right so I can buy fresh flowers every week if I want to.
Produce At Trader Joe’s
As a health coach, I encourage all of my clients to eat real food. One of my husband’s favorites at Trader Joe’s is the bag of apples. Those are his absolutely favorite apples.
Even though Trader Joe’s produce section is smaller than some grocery stores I can always find some of my stables like blackberries, sweet potatoes, avocados, and cucumbers. Then there is the Cruciferous crunch (salad mix- kale, brussel sprouts, broccoli, green cabbage, red cabbage) that is so amazing and healthy! It is great for a base for making bowls on a low carb day on the FASTer Way to Fat Loss program.
I love guacamole so you can’t go wrong with the guac to go in the produce section.
Frozen Foods At Trader Joe’s
I love to keep frozen foods on hand so that I don’t have to worry about it going bad and it can be something quick. Because let’s face it, I don’t like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen but I want something tasty.
Our favorite (along with everyone else I know) is the cauliflower gnocchi. If you haven’t tried it, you must. We have several bags in our freezer right now. The other day I bought the sweet potato gnocchi but I haven’t tried it yet.
I do not eat much rice but my husband loves it so I buy the jasmine rice which is so easy to heat up and he really enjoys it.
My husband and son love the salmon burgers. The Argentina shrimp are a must at our house too. The other day my son and I took the vegetable fried rice and sauteed the Argentina shrimp and added the organic coconut amino acids and voila we had an easy wonderful dinner.
Seasonings And More At Trader Joe’s
Have you heard about Everything But The Bagel Seasoning, if you haven’t you must not be on Instagram? I think I have 5 bottles of it at home. This weekend I was disappointed when I was at my beach house and someone must have used the last of it and didn’t tell me! I will definitely restock and then even hide some so I will make sure to have it every time I am there.
There is a lot of talk about the Chili Lime seasoning too however, I am not a fan but I am the minority on that one.
Some other items on my list to try that have been recommended by my clients are:
- Gluten-free crispbread
- Almond butter
- Chili lime chicken burger
- Mahi Mahi burger
- Turkey burger
- Frozen Zucchini spirals
- Chia seeds
- Roasted plantain chips
- Sweet chili sauce
- Sriracha ranch
- Heirloom popcorn with avocado oil
- Riced Cauliflower-stir fry
- Dark chocolate Almond butter cups
