Can you believe January is about over and Valentine’s is right around the corner? I have teamed up with my friends and fellow bloggers, Jamie (Family Savvy) and Meredith (The Southern Source) to bring you a fabulous Valentine’s giveaway for you and your sweetie.
Galentine’s Day
Before we celebrate Valentine’s, we first celebrate Galentine’s (I didn’t even know this was a real thing until I started writing this post.) According to what I found on the internet, “Galentine’s Day” has transcended the television screen and become established in everyday culture. On February 13, Galentine’s Day, a nonofficial holiday, is celebrated as a day for “ladies celebrating ladies.”
I love this! Women celebrating women. Through this blogger life, I have met some incredible women. I met Meredith over a year ago and I always refer to her as my blogger daughter. And now, with Jamie, I have found my blogger sister.
Both of these women are so much fun and help me so much in the kitchen! Thank goodness for them or there would probably be NO recipes on my blog!

Valentine’s Day
So what are you doing for Valentine’s Day? Jeff and I are not much for going out on Valentine’s. We usually stay in and have a simple fun dinner at home, especially since a few days later we are leaving for Palm Beach. But this year, we are going over to some friends house for dinner to celebrate.
If you are looking for a fun getaway book a night at Ross Bridge with a couple’s massage and be sure to visit one of the restaurants or make it a little more romantic (if you know what I mean) and order room service. (Be sure to enter our giveaway if you like this idea.)
Who doesn’t love a great adventure? If you want to get your heart racing again. Reserve your spot at Red Mountain Park for the Night-Time Mega Zip taking place on Friday, February 15th. The rain date is Saturday, the 16th. Typically there are 20-30 couples for the Mega Zip—1,000 feet long from 80 feet up in the air! They will take photos of each couple and email them out the following day. If the weather allows they will also have a fire.
What about creating something together…I am not talking about a baby although if you are married and you want one it is fun trying. Check out the classes at Make BHM. They have classes to create things with metal, wood, ceramics, and print. I am going to try to get Jeff to go to one of these with me.
